The Sikh museum presents unique collection of arms and weapons used by the sikh army during the 18th and 19th century A.D. when the British occupied the fort in 1846. they found a considerable number of arms and weapons belonging to the out-going Sikh government.

This interesting collection ranging from primitive bow and arrows to fully fledged artillery cannons. Amply depicting advancement in manufacture of armaments, is exhibited in dalan-e-sang-e surkh’ red stone ante chamber built by jahangir in 1617-18.

 

The material displayed includes photographs of Sikh rulers and dignitaries weapons of war litho prints depicting battles between the Sikh and the British, and a taxidermies horse with

Original gold trappings and umbrella used by maharaja Ranjit Singh. Most of the photographs are part of the collection of princess Bamba.
